Garrick Rollinson

Director
&

Senior Physiotherapist

Garrick is a New Zealand trained physiotherapist. Graduating from Auckland's University of Technology with a Bachelor of Health Science (Physiotherapy) with distinction.

Originally born in Cape Town, South Africa, Garrick has lived all around the world. Moving from South Africa to England, then back to South Africa, then to New Zealand, and now settling down in QLD. 


Whilst in Auckland, Garrick worked with some of New Zealand's leading professional sports physiotherapists. This exposed him to high level rugby union, where he has been the on field physio for a variety of representative age group teams.

Garrick worked at a private clinic in New Zealand where he has gained valuable exposure with acute sporting injuries and post surgical rehabilitation of all age groups varying from pediatrics to the elder adult.

Garrick is happy to treat anyone of any age, to help improve function and achieve personal goals. He uses different treatment modalities varying from dry needling to manual therapy and joint mobilisations to help improve function and reduce pain.
Garrick is a firm believer of exercise, and will also use an evidence based approach when tailoring a custom rehabilitation program for your benefit to regain function and reduce pain. 

 

Additional training/areas of special interest: 
 

  • Knee and hip pre/rehabilitation (GLA:D) practitioner. Rehabilitation training program designed to delay and prolong the need for total hip and knee joint replacements.
     

  • Vestibular/Vertigo assessment, management, and treatment.
     

  • Pelvic floor assessment and rehabilitation for incontinence and pre/post surgery. 
     

  • Dry needling
     

  • Manual therapy & Manipulation 
     

  • Cupping 
     

  • Sport injury management & treatment

In his spare time Garrick enjoys exercise in the gym, karate, and camping with the family.

Physiotherapy services are currently available and operating out of The Hub Medical Centre Burpengary East with access to the Burpengary Regional Aquatic & Leisure Centre.

Jonie Darrington

 

Director
&
Exercise Physiologist

Jonie is a University of Queensland qualified Exercise Physiologist with over 12 years experience in the industry. She has two children who keep her on her toes and a passion for fitness, nutrition and women's health.

​

Jonie has extensive experience in clinical exercise and uses her knowledge to treat a range of metabolic and lifestyle disorders, as well as surgical or musculoskeletal rehabilitation. Additionally, Jonie also enjoys working with NDIS participants both in the gym, hydrotherapy pool, or remotely. 

 

Jonie delivers a realistic yet effective approach to treating patients  on both ends of the spectrum, from the individual who may be time poor, lack motivation, and need encouragement, to the exercise fanatic who may need guidance to progress their training or rehabilitation.

She utilises both gym and home based strategies to get the job done and achieve patient goals without needing to spend crazy amounts on equipment. 

​

Training sessions can be held either at your local gym, Burpengary aquatic centre, or remotely from your residence.

In her spare time, Jonie enjoys keeping fit and exercises regularly. She is very involved with her kids sports and enjoys training them for their upcoming events.

Exercise Physiology services are operating out of the Burpengary Regional Aquatic & Leisure Centre or remotely via your personal gym or premise.

Michael Coetzer

Senior Physiotherapist

Michael Coetzer is a New Zealand-trained physiotherapist who studied at Auckland University of Technology.

Originally born in South Africa, Michael moved to New Zealand at a young age and relocated to Brisbane in 2023.

He has dedicated his career to the musculoskeletal (MSK) setting, specializing in acute sporting injuries and post-surgical care, including joint replacements, shoulder reconstructions, and ACL reconstructions. Michael also focuses on accelerated rehabilitation for individuals returning to work after significant injuries and has extensive experience managing premier club rugby union teams for four years.

Michael firmly believes that strength is the key to living a pain-free and fulfilling life. He helps his patients achieve this through personalized rehab programs tailored to their specific needs. Additionally, he employs a variety of manual therapy techniques, including massage, joint mobilizations, and dry needling.

Michael has furthered his expertise with additional training in Injury Prevention and Performance Enhancement through SEPNZ, as well as in dry needling and manual therapy.

Outside of work, Michael enjoys training at the gym, taking strolls along the beach, and reading books.
